This particular blog post is not about cherished number plates. The purpose of today’s message is to highlight a fantastic event which is taking place this weekend. It is the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club North of England Rally on Sunday 8th August.
Lots of number plate fans are interested in fine motor cars. If that includes you then get yourself along to Harewood House which is situated on the A61 between Leeds and Harrogate. The North of England Rally has been held at Harewood House for the last thirty years. It is now the second largest Rolls-Royce and Bentley event held in the UK and last year attracted almost five-hundred entrants.
There will be Rolls-Royce and Bentley models on display from the early 1900′s all the way through to the present day cars. One of the highlights of the day is the parade which takes place in the afternoon. A very knowledgeable commentator gives details about each specific car including the car’s history and any previous celebrity owners. Many of the cars have been built to specification for film stars, business owners and even royalty.
The annual North of England Rally is a great day out for all the family, especially if the sun is shining. The fun starts at 10am and the event will draw to a close around 5pm after the judges have presented trophies to the owners of the best presented cars.
We look forward to seeing you at Harewood.
